Look Ahead: 2015 Beauty Trends

Look Ahead: 2015 Beauty Trends

As the new year was approaching, I grabbed my magic crystal ball and looked into the future for the 2015 Beauty Trends and I'm happy to share with you all that I've found!

Allure Magazine Online
Allure wants us to make resolutions to stop doing the things that are damaging to our beauty and start forming new habits! In the article you'll read about stopping the awful pimple popping (something I've been telling my clients for years) and get more sleep (um, ok!), and then there's air-drying your hair in place of hair damaging heat tools! You can read the full article here!

Marie-Claire Magazine Online
Marie-Claire breaks down top hair trends you're going to see in 2015.  From Hair Contouring to Babylights and even different shades of Blonde like Rose and Bronde!  Head over to their site and explore their gallery while you read and learn!

Cruelty Free Kitty
Suzi, over at Cruelty Free Kitty, put together a great list of makeup based on the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year Marsala! She says, "It’s described as stylish, warm, and nurturing, making it a perfect color to transition into makeup." She even created a gorgeous infographic and all the products can be purchased at Sephora!  Head on over to her site to check out all the Marsal-options (insert Eddie Murphie laugh here)!

Refinery29
Refinery29 is hopeful about their beauty trends, they want to see them take hold! Faux Eyebrow Piercings, Intense Eyeliner (I can see the corporate meetings now!), even Negative Space Manicures. You've got to see them to believe them!

Whatever the trends are for 2015, true trends are the ones you make and wear confidently!  What trends are you looking forward to this year?  Leave your trend forecast in the comments below.

  1. I would love to indulge in Allure's recommendation for more SLEEP!! I need it!! The Refinery29 faux eyebrow piercing sounds intriguing too!

  2. I hate the idea of negative space manis - makes me cringe just thinking about it. The rest I think I'm liking, especially the new dimensions in blonde hair, even though I'm a brunette, but hey that's what balayage in the summer is for :D

    1. Actually I was thinking about it today! How crazy to even try to paint, but if you have short nails, would they even look right? I was kinda stressing over nothing - ha!

  3. I'm trying really hard to get better with my makeup and actually making up my face. I can be so lazy but it is always fun to hear/read about the future trends.

    1. I hear you! Being a new cosmetology student at my age 30*cough*ish*cough*, I should really care more about putting makeup on my face so that I can look the part, but man it is hard to get my makeup on before I leave the house - along with getting the family ready, making lunches, breakfast, feeding animals, getting dressed, showering... :/
